One Year Old Injection

Today is JinYu's checkup at 1 yr. Heading to Sunway Medical Centre for his measles jab.

He is very happy at first. Sitting down on his mommy's lap quietly and watching other babies and toddlers around him. Then later the nurse calls his name to check on his height & weight..71.5 cm and 8 kg only! Yes!! I didn't type this wrong. 8KG.....

Sigh! small and thin..

The nurse then called JinYu to the doctor's room. And once he step into the room, he feels anxiety towards the doctor. I think he knows that is not good to enter to this room. Before the jab, he is already crying and hugging on to me. No choice to give him the jab while i hold him tightly so that he don't move around too much when the doctor gives him the jab. After awhile he stops crying.

So is he afraid of the jab or the doctor?!

My Career

Back in the old days in the Hokkien custom whenever a little one reaches the age of 1 year old (according to chinese calender), they will have this tradition where the a few stuffs are placed on the floor for the little one to choose and that will be his career line when he or she grows up.

Look what we have placed for JinYu.
1. Barney Car - F1 Racer
2. Book - Teacher
3. Calculator - Accountant/Finance
4. Dog - A Vet
5. Ball - Footballer/Sportsman
6. Radio - Musican

1 Year Old (Chinese Calender)

Today is JinYu's Chinese Birthday. Another milestone achievement, JinYu manage to say his 1st word....Bye Bye and with his hand waving. The 2nd word is apple.
